The Château de la Napoule is a place rich in history, heritage, and culture. In order to preserve this unique space and ensure a pleasant visit for all, we kindly ask you to respect the following rules.
- Opening Hours and Access
- Opening Hours: Visiting hours are displayed on our website and at the entrance to the Château. Exceptional closures may occur during private events; these closures will be communicated at least one week in advance on our Google listing and updated on this page.
- Reservations: Guided tours are available year-round for groups of at least 15 people (schools, associations, companies, etc.) by reservation. To book, please contact us by email at musee@chateau-lanapoule.com or by phone at +33(4)93499505.
- Without Reservation: Public guided tours without reservations have limited availability. We cannot predict the number of visitors, and our team cannot be held responsible if the limit is reached. Therefore, we highly recommend arriving early.
- Dress Code
- We kindly ask visitors to wear attire appropriate for the site. The Château is not a beach, so swimwear and beachwear are not permitted indoors.
- Guided Tour Inside the Château
- Group Size: For safety and comfort reasons, guided groups are limited to a maximum of 35 people (one class for school groups).
- Group Supervision: Each group must be accompanied by a responsible person or guide. Visitors should stay together and follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
- Respect for Artwork and Furniture: It is forbidden to touch the artwork and furniture in the Château unless the guide gives explicit permission.
- Noise and Phones: For everyone’s comfort, we ask that you maintain silence during the guide’s commentary. Phones should be set to vibrate or silent mode, and calls should only be made outside the building or galleries to avoid interfering with the guided tour and out of respect for others.
- Prohibited Items and Behaviors
- Bulky Items: Large bags (over 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm), tripods, selfie sticks, and other bulky items are not permitted in the exhibition areas to ensure the safety of the artwork and furniture. Some items and bags can be left at the ticket office (subject to space availability).
- Consumption: Food and drinks are prohibited in the exhibition areas to prevent spills and damage.
- Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Château and gardens.
- Animals: Pets are not allowed inside the Château and gardens. Only assistance dogs are permitted, in accordance with accessibility laws.
- Photography and Videography: Photography is allowed for personal use without flash or professional equipment. Images must not be used for commercial purposes without prior authorization. For professional photo sessions, permission must be requested by contacting us directly via email or phone. Drone use in the Château’s outdoor areas requires prior authorization from the municipality of Mandelieu-la-Napoule (request at least 48 hours before your visit).
- Respectful Behavior
- Respect for the Site: The Château and its gardens are historical sites deserving of attention and respect. Any form of vandalism, noisy, or disrespectful behavior is prohibited.
- Environment: The Château is located in a protected natural environment. Please refrain from littering and respect the surrounding flora and fauna.
- Safety and Assistance
- Staff on Site: The Château staff is present for your safety and to assist with any questions. If you have any problems or need help, please do not hesitate to contact them.
- Exits and Reentries: Once the guided tour has started, leaving the guided area will be considered a final exit. However, you are allowed to access the gardens throughout the day until closing and can re-enter by showing your ticket at the entrance, which is valid all day.
By following these rules, you contribute to preserving the Château de la Napoule and enhancing the visitor experience for everyone. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
