About the artists :

Kathryn Cameron

Dive into the artistic world of Kathryn Cameron, a New York-based artist and former resident of the Château de la Napoule. Known for her work bridging nature and humanity, Kathryn explores the symbolic, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of the materials she uses, particularly those derived from natural and recycled sources such as paper, clay, and wood.

In this workshop, participants will discover how recycled paper pulp can be transformed into a rich and versatile artistic medium. Kathryn will guide attendees through the basics of making and using paper pulp in sculpture. Through demonstrations and the creation of small armature-based sculptures, participants will have the opportunity to bring their own artistic visions to life while exploring the creative potential of a sustainable and environmentally friendly material.

Join this workshop for a unique and immersive experience, blending technique, creativity, and reflection on the connection between art and nature, all within the inspiring setting of the Château de la Napoule.

Louise Laffaille

Louise Laffaille is a painter whose work is deeply inspired by the element of water. She explores the traces it leaves as it dries, the forms it creates, and the sense of surrender it demands in the act of painting. Her artistic process embraces accidents and the unexpected, turning them into opportunities for discovery and expression.

In this watercolor workshop, participants will learn techniques the artist acquired from a Chinese Master, highlighting the rich creative potential water brings to painting. Through the exploration of random and abstract forms, and by working with shadows and light, each participant will create a landscape inspired by the surroundings of the Château.

Set in the enchanting environment of the Château de la Napoule, nestled by the Mediterranean, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to experiment with new artistic approaches and unleash creativity, while soaking in the poetic atmosphere of this exceptional location.
